BBQ Tofu Sliders

Ingredients

  • 1 WILDWOOD SUPER FIRM TOFU, DRAINED AND SLICED INTO 2”X ¼” THICK SQUARES
  • 1 CUP KANSAS CITY STYLE BBQ SAUCE
  • 8 MINI SLIDER BUNS
  • 1 SHREDDED CABBAGE MIX FOR COLESLAW
  • 1 CUP COLESLAW SAUCE
  • 3/4 CUP WILDWOOD GARLIC AIOLI
  • 2 TBSP. SUGAR
  • 1/2 TBSP. SEASONED RICE VINEGAR
  • 1 TSP. KANSAS CITY STYLE BBQ SAUCE

Preparation

  1. LAYER SLICED TOFU IN A CONTAINER WITH BBQ SAUCE COATING ALL SIDES, LET MARINATE 2 HOURS OR OVERNIGHT.
  2. IN A MEDIUM MIXING BOWL, COMBINE ALL INGREDIENTS FOR COLESLAW SAUCE, MIX WELL UNTIL COMBINED AND SUGAR IS DISSOLVED. TOSS WITH SHREDDED CABBAGE MIX AND SET ASIDE.
  3. HEAT A LARGE SAUTÉ PAN ON MEDIUM HEAT, COAT LIGHTLY WITH PAN SPRAY, REMOVE THE TOFU FROM THE SAUCE AND RESERVE FOR NEXT STEP, HEAT THE SLICES OF WILDWOOD SUPER FIRM TOFU SLICES APPROXIMATELY 1 -2 MIN ON EACH SIDE.
  4. PREPARE YOUR SLIDER BUNS, BY SPREADING BBQ SAUCE LEFT OVER FROM MARINATING THE TOFU ON YOUR BOTTOM HALF OF THE BUNS.  DISTRIBUTE THE HEATED WILDWOOD SUPER FIRM TOFU SLICES ON THE SAUCED BOTTOM BUNS.  SPREAD THE REMAINING SAUCE ON TOP OF YOUR TOFU.
  5. PLACE A LARGE SPOONFUL OF YOUR PREPARED COLESLAW MIX ON TOP OF THE TOFU AND COMPLETE WITH BUN TOP.  ENJOY!! SERVE WITH YOUR FAVORITE SIDES TO COMPLETE YOUR MEAL.
